When you grow up, I mean. I am amazed that, at my age, I'm still trying to figure certain things out. Yes, I've been in my career for 22 years, but that's not necessarily who I am, is it?
Must we define ourselves by our careers? Or is it better to have something else, something you own yourself, something to call yours, that we do during our own time? The second option, I think, is at the heart of the entrepreneur.
I am trying hard to define myself solely as an independent [fill in the blank]. I don't know that it will ever happen, at this point.
Is that a bad thing?

Hi, I'm Amy Kalinchuk. I am an author, publisher, crafter, entrepreneur, roller derby skater, wife, mom, and friend. I try to be organized and maintain an air of enviable breezy elegance. I do not always succeed. But crafting? I can do that. And small business. I can do that, too. So can you! No, seriously, you can do this! I'll show you.
