I am so excited about the new look of my blog, and working with YouTube videos! My focus here is on helping you with your crafty, handmade business, and having some fun doing crafty things along the way. 

You have one, right? A crafty business? Well, I do. I have two, actually. ​

My name is Amy Kalinchuk. I've been making and selling handmade soap for 19 years now, and we are still going strong! I say we because a few years ago I hired my husband, Izzy, to make soap for me and do other grunt work. I needed help. So he works full-time for our soap business, and I work part-time at it. It sure feels like full-time, though, which is why I started my series, "A Year in the Life of a Professional Crafter," to give you a glimpse into the workings of my mind. It chronicles my life for the year 2016. I still can't quite believe I did that.

A while ago I decided I needed to tell soap makers what was up, so I wrote a few books on the subject. I then decided I needed to start making videos about that, as well. I sell those books on the Etsys, and also right here. My videos are on the YouTubes.

Currently, I work full-time as a public school teacher. I teach in a special education center program in high school. My husband works from home, and my daughter graduated from high school last year. (Not sure how that happened, but there you have it.)
